Were you nominated for FEP Fine Art Photograph of the Year 2011?
The aim of this prize is to reward and stimulate creative initiatives by professional photographers, who may often be constrained with assignment work.
The winner, shortlist and finalist of this prestigious competition have been found and we are honoured to display such talent.
The FEP European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award 2011 is supported, for the third consecutive year, by Towergate Camerasure insurance company.
"The FEP European Fine Art Photograph of the Year Award is attracting more entries as every year passes. We hope that the number of entries continues to rise, and we wish to encourage you all to participate. The ‘raison d’être’ of the Towergate Camerasure Sponsorship is to promote creativity in photograph. This has certainly been achieved with the increasingly high standard of entries submitted. Towergate Camerasure is currently a highly respected leading provider of Photographic insurance in the UK and Ireland." declared Roy Meiklejon, of Towergate, who is also the current BIPP President.
"I really appreciate that most of the images in the competition show positivity, harmony and beauty in a way, which our world really needs.” said Martin Vrabko, Master QEP and Chairman of the Competition adding, "Some of the images caress the human soul so deeply, just by looking at them. I would like to say many thanks to all participants. You can see a very high standard of photography in almost every submitted image. Many of them don't need any words. Especially those in the final selection. Photography as an international language has reached its audience. My special thanks to all the jury members for their attitude to this competition. The finalists and winner, shows us that art sometimes allows us to make exceptions. We simply apply the sense of sharing and appreciation. Just enjoy the quality and artistic experience."
The overall winner will be revealed at a later stage. The winner and finalists will receive their awards at a special ceremony on Saturday September 22nd at 17:00 in Photokina, Cologne.
